The “Triumph Together” event details have been shared by Niantic.
This event will take place from Friday, August 23, at 3:00 p.m. to Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PDT and it consists of three global challenges happening worldwide, one for each team in Pokémon Go.
The Valor challenge will have you defeat 75,000,000 Team GO Rocket members, with grunts appearing more often, and the reward for that will be a special Team Valor–themed Timed Research opportunity that leads to an encounter with Ponyta wearing a Candela-themed accessory, plus 2xXP for spinning PokéStops for the rest of the event. The next challenge will then be activated!
The Instinct challenge will revolve around eggs, with the requirement being hatching 20,000,000 eggs globally. The distance required to hatch eggs will be cut in half for eggs placed in incubators during the event. During the event, the following Pokémon will be hatching from 7km eggs.
After completing the task, players will be rewarded with a special Team Instinct-themed Timed Research opportunity that leads to an encounter with an Elekid wearing a Spark-inspired accessory, as well as 2x Stardust as a bonus for the remainder of the event. The Mystic challenge will then be activated!
The Mystic challenge will require you to complete 35,000,000 Field Research tasks, with event tasks rewarding the following Pokémon being available.
After players work together to complete the task, they will be rewarded with a special Team Mystic–themed Timed Research opportunity that leads to an encounter with Lapras wearing a Blanche-inspired accessory, and two guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokémon as a bonus until the end of the event.
Trainers can also look forward to a special Paid Timed Research for $5 (or the equivalent in your country) that will reward the following:
- Two Premium Battle Passes
- One Rocket Radar
- One Super Incubator
- One Lure Module
- Encounters with Team Leader–themed costumed Pokémon—and more
Players who purchase the Paid Timed Research ticket from the Pokémon Go Webstore will receive an extra incubator for free.
