The Psychic Spectacular event will return this month in Pokémon Go after the success of the success of last year’s edition.
The event will take place from Wednesday September 18th to Sunday the 22nd and will feature many psychic-type Pokémon, in the wild, research tasks and eggs.
For the first time in Pokémon Go, trainers will be able to catch a new Galar Pokémon, Hatenna, the Calm Pokémon. Hatenna will spawn in the wild, hatch from eggs and be available as a reward from field research task. You can use 25 Hatenna candy to evolve it to Hattrem and 100 candy to evolve it again into Hatterene.
But that’s not all! Beldum will make its debut in 3-star Max Battles. You can use candy to evolve Dynamax Beldum into Dynamax Metagross, which could prove very useful in future Max Battles.
Other event bonuses include:
- 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Additional Candy for Nice Throws or better.
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.

During this event, Morelull will be shiny boosted exclusively in Field Research Tasks encounters, meaning you have a higher chance of encountering a shiny Morelull from completing Field Research Tasks than in the wild.
